About
24 years ago I was born in the Netherlands, in Almere, a city near Amsterdam. When I was ten, I founded the first underground school paper of my elementary school and six years later I debated with several Dutch politicians. The choice to study Communications was easy to be made.
After two years of high speed studying, I decided that my student time was going by too fast and applied for the board of my study association. From there on, the big ambitions started to arise. I organized several student activitities, like career days, parties and study information programs. In my year at the board I started a company with Ernst-Jan Pfauth, a fellow board member at the study association.
After my year at the board I started studying again and started at a job as a trainer in the non-profit market. At this job I gained a lot of experience which also led me to give workshops in blogging along with Ernst-Jan. In the meantime I was also active as an editor at the magazine of my study association and also started my own weblog Communicatiedrang (which has transformed into peterevers.net) and became one of the first editors at Spotlight Effect.
In between all these things I always was kind of a gadget freak, especially mobile phones. This passion for gadgets, combined with a passion for marketing, led me to a really interesting internship in mobile advertising at WebAds, a comapny in Amsterdam. Recently I completed this internship and moved to London to start as a Mobile Executive at the London based company Unanimis. At this weblog I write about my view on the latest developments in mobile technique and mobile marketing.
