The new Samsung L870, which will be released in Europe around August, features the Mobile Safari browser. The L870 is the very first model outside the iPhone that features the ‘Apple browser’. I guess this is a big win for Apple. If they hadn’t already proved to have built the best mobile browser, this might just be the best proof there is. Funny enough, I installed Opera Mobile on my Nokia N95 8GB today and it didn’t quite work out as I hoped it would. It crashed everytime it tried to open a website, which is quite an essential task for a web browser. The pre-installed Symbian browser isn’t what you would expect either. I guess the Safari browser really is the only user friendly mobile browser around. Although, today I read on TechCrunch that Skyfire received a thirteen million cash injection to further develop the next best thing in mobile browsing. Unfortunately, I didn’t get hold of a private beta invite. I guess I’m kinda stuck here.
